High Score!

Who says women aren't as good as men at math? They may not be giving Wilt Chamberlain a run for his money, but the gals of 'Sex and the City' did manage to rack up a cumulative total of 94 male partners and one woman over the course of the TV series, according to the math whizzes over at the NY Daily News. The final tallies: Samantha 42, Carrie and Charlotte 18 apiece, and Miranda 17.

The debate rages about the benefits and drawbacks of many partners, but one expert who's looked at the data has identified an interesting correlation: "Women with higher numbers tend to be more educated, have more liberal views and higher self-esteem," notes psychologist Victoria Zdrok, author of 'Dr. Z on Scoring.' Native Talent

It seems everybody and their sister is offering a 'Sex and the City' tour these days, but if you're hopping the motorcoach to Manhattan with your girlfriends, there's one guide you may want to take a cue from. Cynthia Nixon was born and raised in NYC, and despite her high-rent escapades on SATC, she advises tourists to grab a MetroCard, stroll Central Park and catch a discount show. "It sounds a little corny, but take the Circle Line (boat tour)," she concludes. "New York is an island, and sometimes we're so trapped in our buildings and on our streets that we forget that there's water all around us. You just get a really good perspective on the city when you circumnavigate it." (photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com )

Worn Once, Worn Twice....Sold!

Not since a certain blue dress has a stained item of clothing been so sought after. On June 25th, 'Sopranos' fans will be bidding on the bloody polo shirt, tank top and pants that Tony was wearing when Uncle Jr. shot him. The outfit, along with 23 others donated by James Gandolfini, will be auctioned off by Christie's to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (helping wounded soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan). If one man's "S" insignia bathrobe is truly another's collector item, the charity hopes to raise over $36,500 for the whole wardrobe. (photo: Mark Von Holden/WireImage.com)

Niiiice!

Just because heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitschko pummels people for a living doesn't mean the man can't crack a joke once in a while. So when the 6'6" Kazakh fighter ran into 'Ali-G' star Sacha Baron Cohen at an L.A. restaurant, he struck a mighty blow in the name of his homeland: "As he walked past me I turned to face him and said, 'Hey, I think you are an asshole for what you said about Kazakhstan,'" Klitschko says. "Unbelievably, he started to defend himself — but before he could continue I stood up and was towering over him. I said, 'I have broken people's necks for less than what you have done.' He looked frightened — like he had picked a fight with the wrong man. And then I owned up and told him I really think his Borat character is amazing. He looked pretty relieved!" Class Act

Sydney Pollack passed away at his home in California on Monday at the age of 73. The director, producer and actor was executive producer of HBO Films' 'Recount,' which he was scheduled to direct as well, but had to withdraw due to illness (Jay Roach took over just eight weeks before the start of filming). Pollack who began his career as an actor and teacher at 'The Neighborhood Playhouse' in New York City, had also recently appeared on 'Entourage' as well as in 'Michael Clayton.' And in the final season of 'The Sopranos' he played orderly/inmate Warren Feldman — a former oncologist doing time for murdering his wife — who befriends Johnny Sack during his final days in the prison hospital.

Pollack was responsible for some of Hollywood's most respected and successful feature films; those he directed (including 'Three Days of the Condor,' 'Tootsie' and 'Out of Africa') were collectively nominated for 48 Academy Awards. As producer, his oeuvre includes 'The Fabulous Baker Boys,' 'Sense and Sensibility,' 'The Talented Mr. Ripley,' 'Iris' and 'Cold Mountain' 'Leatherheads' and 'Michael Clayton.' As George Clooney noted: "Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better...A tip of the hat to a class act. He'll be missed terribly." New Direction

Michael Imperioli is about to shoot his own script as the director of his first feature film, 'The Hungry Ghosts,' and there are a few specters from his 'Sopranos' past attached as well. Steve Schirripa (Bobby Baccalieri) and Sharon Angela (Rosalie Aprile) will play a divorced couple fighting to keep their son off the streets. John Ventimiglia (Artie Bucco) also co-stars. But don't expect Imperioli to disappear behind the camera; he's starring in Peter Jackson's big-screen adaptation of 'The Lovely Bones' alongside Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz. Small World

It's always awkward when you run into a personal adversary in polite company. And when your rival happens to be Katherine Harris — and you're wrestling over the presidency of the United States — it can only get more bizarre. Ron Klain tells the tale to Kevin Spacey in an exclusive 'Recount' on-camera interview for HBO.com: "One night I went out to dinner with Secretary [Warren] Christopher and Secretary [William] Daley. And Tallahassee is not that large a place. A couple tables over, Katherine Harris was having dinner with a couple people and she came up. She said to Secretary Christopher, 'It's ironic — I'm a Secretary of State, you're a Secretary of State — we have that in common.' What do you say to that? Secretary Christopher nodded politely and smiled, and she left." (photo: Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images)

Bear Necessities

Chris Noth has been jetting back and forth between LA and NY a lot since his son Orion was born in January (Orion and his mom, Noth's longtime girlfriend Tara Wilson, are West-coast based, while Noth shoots 'Law and Order: Criminal Intent' in the Big Apple). But the actor tries to offset his increased carbon footprint with support for the Rainforest Action Network, a group that hopes "to leave a safe and secure world for our children." Noth sees it as responsible parenting: "I would like for him to have a future — to see seasons and know that in the winter it gets cold, then it thaws out and there's a summer. Hell, I'd like to see walruses and panda bears — I think there's room for all of us." (photo: Gary Gershoff/WireImage.com)

Dern Tootin'

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the unfairest of them all? Arguably, Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris should take the hit as villain in 'Recount,' but Laura Dern's depiction manages to lend some humanity to the woman who found herself in the center of a storm, trying to please her party. Dern tells HBO.com she had to separate her personal feelings about what went down, from her job as actor. "You can have understanding and empathy for a narcissist and not respect their narcissism," she says. "It's a complicated relationship that I had, exploring her." (photo: Andrew H. Dead Heat

Sure, the 2000 Florida recount was close, but that was nothing compared to the tight race that Jay Roach faced bringing 'Recount' in on schedule. As he told HBO.com: "I remember saying to HBO, 'You know some days I'm shooting eight scenes. I'm literally going to have to say to these Academy Award®-quality actors — Tom Wilkinson, John Hurt, Kevin Spacey — I'm going to have to say: Cut. Print. Run!'" Luckily, the actors were along for the ride.

Roach is still concerned that without voting reform it could happen again, and that's one sequel he'd rather not direct: "If it's ever that close again I fear we'll be right back in the same pickle because we just didn't have time before 9/11 and after 9/11 to revamp the whole thing."
