Born in Boulder, Colorado and a native of Denver, John Carroll Lynch began his professional career in the theater and spent eight years as a member of the Guthrie Theater Company in Minneapolis. His recent stage appearances include the original production of the
Pulitzer Prize-winning "Dinner with Friends" and "Under the Blue Sky."
Lynch has over 30 feature film credits including "Fargo," "The Good Girl," "Bubble Boy," "Waking the Dead," "A Thousand Acres,"
"Anywhere But Here," "Pushing Tin," "Face/Off," "Volcano," and last
year's "Confidence" and "Gothika." He is currently shooting an
untitled film with writer/director Albert Brooks.
Lynch will be seen in the upcoming season of "Carnivale" on HBO. He was one of the Shaw brothers in David Kelley's "Brotherhood of Poland, NH". He played Drew's brother Steve for 6 seasons on "The Drew Carey Show" and has appeared in television movies and mini-series such as "Tuesdays with Morrie," "Live from Baghdad" and "From the Earth to the Moon." He also has numerous guest star credits.
Lynch currently lives in New York and Los Angeles with his
wife, Brenda Wehle.
